Service content

Structuralfunds.fi is the online service for the regional and structural policy programmes of the European Union (EU). Structuralfunds.fi is the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, and the service is maintained by the EU Cohesion Policy Group of the Ministry’s Regions and Growth Services Department in cooperation with the Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres) and Regional Councils. The service is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.

On the front page, you can read more about the priority axes of the new programming period, funding application periods, current issues and issues highlighted on social media. You can also access regional sections.

You can find the latest news and information on application periods and events under Current Issues. 
Under Innovation and Skills in Finland, you can read more about the programme Innovation and Skills in Finland 2021−2027 and on the following funds: European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF). The section also contains information on national themes, sustainable urban development and the monitoring committee.

Under Activities in Regions, there are sections for the major regions of Southern Finland, Eastern Finland, Western Finland and Northern Finland, as well as information on national themes.

Under For Project Participants, you can read more about applying for funding, legislation, the EURA 2021 system and simplified cost models. Instructions for beneficiaries and communications guidelines are also provided, and there is information on fraud prevention and application periods. 

Under Interreg Programmes, you can read more about the programmes promoting European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg programmes).

Functions

Search

The website search function can be found in the page header.

Searches are targeted at all website content by default. With quick search, you can search for all entered search terms according to the website language settings. The Boolean operator ‘AND’ is automatically added between the search words. You can also use truncated words as search terms.

Feedback

On the feedback form, you can send feedback and questions on the structuralfunds.fi online service. Your feedback is processed during office hours, and you can expect a reply within two weeks. We can only send replies to your questions and feedback if you have entered your contact details on the form (email address or name and address). Email is our preferred means of responding to feedback.

Web browsers and terminal devices

The website is responsive, and its content is scaled to fit the user’s device. To ensure optimal website performance, use the latest browser versions. You can also use older browser versions, but in this case, you may not be able to make full use of all the website features.

Downloading files and required software

To open PDF files, you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader program, which you can download free of charge.

Live online streams and video recordings have also been embedded on the website, and they are provided as a streaming service from a separate server in the format supported by the user’s device.

Intellectual property rights

The intellectual property rights to the texts and images on the website are owned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment or another author stated in connection to the material.

The use and linking to the text content of the website is allowed according to good practices as long as the source of the material is stated. A separate agreement with the Ministry is always required if the material is to be used as such for commercial purposes.

The rights of use for the images in the online service are owned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

The Ministry is not responsible for any expenses or losses caused to the user by possible errors in the content. The Ministry is also not responsible for any harm caused by technical disturbances or material linked on the website published by a third party.

Linked pages are subject to their respective terms of use. The Ministry is not responsible for keeping the third-party websites up to date, their publications, or the accuracy of the information contained on them.
