Regional councils
In their areas, regional councils grant structural fund support for projects of the European Regional Development Fund. The Regional Council of Satakunta is the coordinating authority in Western Finland. The Regional Council of Southwest Finland belongs to the area coordinated by the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council and the Regional Council of Central Ostrobothnia to that coordinated by the Regional Council of Lapland.
