About applications
The funding authorities announce calls for funding applications, any related themes and special objectives, as well as the deadlines for applications on this site, their own websites and possibly in the region’s main periodicals. The call for applications details the priority axes and specific objectives for which applications are sought. Calls for applications can focus on either regional projects or national themes.
In addition to the programme’s goals, regional projects must also contribute to at least one of the priorities of the relevant regional programme. If the project will be carried out in Western Finland, applicants must acquaint themselves with the Innovation and Skills in Finland programme, as well as the various regional programmes and their implementation plans.
National thematic programmes are a suitable source of funding if the project’s activities and benefits have a national reach, either through partners or the organisation’s own operations.
There is often a deadline by which applications must be submitted to the competent funding authority. Applicants must ensure they address their application to the appropriate authority. If you are uncertain about the authority to which you should submit your application, do not hesitate to contact the region’s experts and advisers. Their contact information is available on this site under contact information.
