Accessibility statement for rakennerahastot.fi

In this accessibility statement, we describe how the rakennerahastot.fi website of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what known accessibility issues there are, and how you can send us feedback regarding any accessibility problems. We take accessibility into consideration in the development of the service.

How accessible are the pages?

The rakennerahastot.fi website largely fulfils the statutory level A and AA accessibility criteria (WCAG 2.1). However, there are certain deficiencies, the most significant of which are described later in this statement.

In January 2022, an external expert assessment of the website’s accessibility was conducted in conjunction with the website update. Some of the identified deficiencies have been fixed. Accessibility is considered in the development of all new features. In addition, we regularly monitor the service’s accessibility using auxiliary programs and fix any deficiencies in the accessibility of content.

We also instruct the organisation’s civil servants to address accessibility requirements in their work.

Content or functions that are still inaccessible

 

Heading levels

The order of heading levels on pages is partly incorrect. This may cause problems when browsing using a screen reader (WCAG 1.3.1).

Embedding

The website includes embedded content imported from social media channels or other sources. There are deficiencies in how content links can be distinguished from the body text and the text contrast in relation to the background colour (WCAG 2.1).

Content not covered by applicable legislation

The website includes content to which legal requirements do not apply. Such content includes:

  • third-party content published in the service that is not produced, funded or supervised by the service provider

Social media

Accessibility requirements have been addressed in the content of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s social media channels from 23 September 2020. Visual and audio-visual material produced before 23 September 2020 also includes content that does not meet the accessibility requirements (e.g. subtitling, alternative texts).
